 Additional Director (Electronic Media Division)


The Additional Director (Electronic Media Division) is responsible for overseeing the department’s audio-visual communications, web, and new media divisions. This includes managing the daily administrative affairs of these divisions and supervising television and radio programs. The role involves overseeing in-house and outsourced video and audio productions, documentaries, and sponsored programs, while also serving as the convener of the Cost Committee for these initiatives.


Additionally, the Additional Director is responsible for monitoring the production of electronic media advertisements and managing the department’s video news clipping system, photography, and scrutiny processes. The role also includes supervising the administrative and marketing functions of the advertisement division (covering visual, audio, and online media). Furthermore, the position involves coordinating liaison activities with technical institutions such as C-DIT and IT Mission, overseeing the IT department, and managing PRISM project coordination.


Moreover, the Additional Director is responsible for the supervision of the Deputy Director (Media Relations), Deputy Director (Visual Communication), and Regional Deputy Directors, ensuring efficient execution of their respective responsibilities.
